About Mermaid And Cowboy

Hi, I’m Michelle. I am the heart and hands behind Mermaid and Cowboy. As a disabled Army veteran, I first turned to photography as a way to capture beauty in the world, but the pain in my body made has made that increasingly difficult. I discovered a new path in stained glass, suncatchers, and jewelry. What started as a creative outlet has grown into a tiny business where I turn stained glass, crystals, and light into pieces that carry meaning, scatter rainbows, and remind us of hope.
The name Mermaid and Cowboy comes from the love story I share with my husband, Tom. He is the steady Cowboy to my ocean-hearted Mermaid, and together we have built a life where faith, family, and creativity are always at the center.
This business is also a family effort. My daughter comes to craft shows with me and helps put together gift bags. My oldest son loves to share his thoughts on new design ideas. Even my youngest helps by placing beads on suncatchers. Their hands and hearts are woven into so many of the pieces I make, which makes each creation even more special.
Along with light-filled suncatchers and jewelry, I also offer memorial and breastmilk jewelry. These custom pieces are designed to honor loved ones, capture moments of connection, and keep precious memories close. Each piece is made with deep care so that it can serve as a lasting reminder of love, legacy, and living memory.
Every design I make is touched by a story. It might be a suncatcher that fills a room with light, jewelry that holds precious memories, or keepsakes made to comfort and inspire. My greatest joy is creating pieces that connect with people in a personal way, carrying reminders of love, resilience, and faith.
Thank you for being here and letting me share a little bit of myself with you. I hope you find something that speaks to your heart and fills your life with light.
