Dichroic Cauldron

A tiny piece of magic made to catch the light.

This one-of-a-kind fairy wing is handcrafted from dichroic glass, with delicate wirework creating the veins of the wing. In ordinary light, brilliant bands of rainbow color move across the glass, but as the lighting and angle change, completely different colors begin to appear.

Each curve was individually cut and ground before the piece was copper foiled, soldered and finished by hand. The wire detailing is also shaped and soldered by hand, making this one of the more intricate pieces in the Dichroic Jewelry Drop.

Made with lead-free solder and finished with a stainless steel chain, with the option to upgrade to sterling silver.

Because dichroic glass changes dramatically with light and viewing angle, both photos show this exact necklace under different lighting.
