Dichroic Wave

A tiny piece of the ocean, captured in glass.

This one-of-a-kind wave is handmade from a beautiful piece of dichroic glass with rippling shades of aqua, blue, green and purple. Move it into different lighting and the colors completely transform, revealing warmer golden and iridescent tones hiding within the glass.

The wave was individually cut, shaped and ground by hand, including the deep inner curve that creates its curling silhouette. Working with stained glass at this scale requires an incredible amount of precision, and this particular shape required the use of my ring saw to achieve that dramatic inner curl.

Copper foiled and finished by hand using lead-free solder, then paired with a stainless steel chain. A .925 sterling silver chain upgrade is available.
