Medusa air plant holder

Some of my favorite creations never found their home. I retired them to make room for new designs, but a few deserve one more chance to catch the light.

A little dark, a little beautiful, and impossible to ignore. This handcrafted Medusa plant holder features a silver serpent resting on polished black agate, suspended above a geometric metal cradle adorned with crimson crystal hearts, obsidian accents, and a mirrored drop below.

Inspired by one of mythology’s most powerful figures, this piece blends symbolism, light, and shadow into a design that feels both protective and enchanting. The mirror catches sunlight and movement, while the crystals add flashes of color and sparkle throughout the day.

Symbolism & Materials

Black Agate is often associated with grounding, strength, and protection. It is believed to encourage resilience during difficult times and provide a sense of stability.

Obsidian has long been connected with truth, protection, and self-reflection. Many people view it as a stone that helps clear away negativity and reveal hidden strengths.

The Serpent symbolizes transformation, wisdom, rebirth, and personal growth. Across many cultures, snakes represent shedding what no longer serves us and embracing change.

Red Hearts represent love, passion, courage, and the connections that matter most. Their vivid color provides a striking contrast to the darker elements of the design.

The Mirror serves as a reminder that true strength begins with self-reflection. It reflects both light and the world around it, adding movement and meaning to the piece.
