Mermaid In The Waves

This handmade mermaid tail suncatcher was created to reflect the color and movement of waves along a tropical shore. The mermaid tail itself measures approximately 4 inches by 3 inches, with an overall hanging length of about 15 inches including crystal accents. 

The tail is made from iridescent blue glass that shifts gently in the light. The fin is crafted in aqua blue glass blended with whiskey white tones, reminiscent of waves breaking and foaming as they reach the sand. When sunlight passes through, the colors soften and brighten, bringing the feeling of the sea into the space around it.

A Preciosa crystal belt wraps the waist, accented with two small seashell details that add texture and coastal charm. Crystal drops below the tail catch the light and scatter soft rainbows throughout the room.

Each piece is cut, foiled, soldered, and finished by hand. Glass texture, color variation, and light refraction make every suncatcher one of a kind.
