Noctis Cordifer

This scorpion Suncatcher has a sad and mysterious back story that will come printed on a card. He is approximately 19 and 1/2 inches from the top hook to the very bottom prisms.  The scorpion itself is approximately 4 inches long and 3 inches wide. It’s made with all glass crystals and a few real Swarovski crystal accents. We have not had sunlight here in several days, but I just know it’s going to be so beautiful in the light.

Noctis Cordifer

(Latin for heart bearer of the night) 

He is feared by those who see only his shadow. With a skull for a face and darkness woven into his form, most turn away before noticing the moon above him or the hearts resting gently in his claws.

Noctis Cordifer only walks beneath moonlight. Not because he belongs to the dark, but because the world is kinder when it is quiet. By day, fear rules. By night, broken things are left behind.

He gathers the pieces others drop when they are too afraid to carry them. Lost love. Forgotten hope. Small fragments of light that still beat, even in the darkest places.

The moon watches over him, softening what the eye fears and revealing what the heart cannot see at first glance.

He does not sting. He protects.

This scorpion exists for those who have been misunderstood, for those who have been judged by their scars, and for anyone who has learned that light often hides inside the most unlikely forms.
