Star born the whale shark

Some of my favorite creations never found their home. I retired them to make room for new designs, but a few deserve one more chance to catch the light.

I formed and soldered the frame myself!

Born beneath a sky full of starlight and ocean dreams, Starborn carries the night across his back. Handwoven from sparking blue and crystal beads, this gentle whale shark is adorned with tiny stars that shimmer like constellations scattered across deep water.

Though whale sharks are the largest fish in the sea, they are known for their peaceful nature, drifting through the ocean with quiet grace. This piece captures that same sense of wonder, part sea creature, part constellation, and entirely magical.

Suspended from a strand of faceted crystals and finished with a sparkling prism drop, Starborn catches the light beautifully, sending flashes of blue and rainbow sparkle throughout the room. Whether hung in a sunny window or displayed as part of an ocean-inspired collection, he serves as a reminder that the biggest hearts often move the gentlest.

And for the record… yes, he’s a whale shark. Not a jellyfish. Not a mermaid having a rough day. A whale shark. 😊
